Poll Shows Massachusetts Voters In Favor Of The Legalization Of Marijuana

A recent poll taken on the website of our local news station shows that Massachusetts residents are in favor of the legalization of marijuana for recreational use. The pole showed 64% were in favor of legalizing cannabis for recreational use and only 36% opposed legalization.

During a interview on camera a local resident said "I've felt that way for 40 years. Kind of grew up with it being a part of popular culture when I was young. There were some people who got in trouble
with it but not that many and not that badly."

The time of marijuana probation could be coming to a end. The children of baby-boomers who are more familiar with marijuana are all grown up and are starting to change the perception people have on cannabis. Its no longer considered a dangerous drug that will make you go mad. They are finding more and more medical benefits for marijuana and even breeding certain strains for medical marijuana.

Although the poll has been taken down, you can find the whole story on the WWLP News 22 website along with a video of the interviews.

If your a Massachusetts resident do you agree with the poll results? Do you think you will see marijuana legal in Massachusetts? If your not from Mass would you like to see it legal in your state? Let us know in the comments below.
